In fact to reveal on Allah’s verses is a kind of worship
that will bring everyone closer to Allah. It includes the study of Tafseer of
the verses to ponder as according to the advice of Ibnul-Qayyim, the
memorization and to read so that he or she understands what the author is
telling him or her.
The Book of Allah is not like other book, in it Allah gives
a Speech and it is not one of the things created. So, dear sisters and brothers
in Islam, the recitation and pondering over the Quran and giving some time each
and everyday to read it and trying to implement it will give a lot of benefits
not only in this life but also in the life of the future. There are following
benefits of reciting and reading the holy Quran:-
1 - Reading and
reflecting over the Qur’an will fulfill an Islamic duty
The sincerity that is required by the holy Book includes
that we recite it regularly, we learn the rules of Tajweed and we learn about Tafseer
and why it was revaluated, reaffirm that it was a true book, it is the 100%
perfection from Allah, to honor and to defend it and to abide by the orders of
Allah whatever they are in this holy Book.
2 - The Qur’an
will be a proof for us on the Day of Judgment
On the day of judgment, Quran will be given a speech and it
will be either in favor of you or against you. Who can save you from the
terrors of Allah if his own speech becomes against you. If you do not respect
the orders mentioned in the Quran, if you contradict it and if you become
ignorant of its orders, then it will be against you. However, if you follow the
order of the holy Book, then Quran will be standing in your favor.
3 - The Qur’an
will intercede in our favor on the Day of Judgment.
Our prophet (SAW) said the meaning of which is to read the
holy Quran so that certainly it will be standing in your favor so that it will
become a negotiator for you.
4 –Your life
status will be raised
According to Saheeh Muslim we can have a story of man named
as “Umar Ibn Al Khattab” who was able to understand the principle. Someone
asked him about the person who is the leader of Makkah, he replied with a name
of person who was slave but a true reader and recite of Quran.
5 - There are ten
rewards for each and every letter you recite from the Qur’an.
Each and every word of Quran will have a reward and it will
be a multiple of 10. Each word Alif will have 10 reward, Laam will have 10
rewards and Meem will have 10 rewards.
