Kaabah is the most Holiest place for Muslims across the world. It is the House of Allah and thus, the reverence that Muslims associate with it is unmatchable. Multiple Reconstructions:
Muslims are aware of the fact that Kabah was originally built by Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismail (AS). However, its first reconstruction took place in the time of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and minor constructions kept on going till 1996. In this year, Kaabah was given a major reconstruction and the building now is said to be in no need of further reconstruction for centuries at least.

Doors And A Window:
Kabah for a long time after its construction in the time of Prophet (PBUH) had two doors, one for entering and one for exit, while it also had a window as well. The current Kaabah has a single door and no window.

Multi-Colored:
People of today are used to of seeing Kabah covered in black cloth with gold banding, however, this was not the case always. Initially Kaabah was covered in multiple colors until the caretaking of Kaabah came to the Abbasids who used their household color Black for covering of Kaabah.

One Family Holding Keys:
Before the time of Islam and the proclamation of Prophet hood by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the keys of Kaabah were in the hands of different families of Quresh who would then take turns. Afte rthe conquest of Makkah, Prophet (PBUH) gave the keys to Hazrat Osman ibn Talha of the Bani Shaiba family and commanded that the keys will remain with their family eternally unless a tyrant ruler takes the keys from them. Since then the keys have been in the same small family of Makkah.

It Was Open To All:
Initially the doors of the Kaabah would remain open to all for prayers. In the past century it would remain open for two days a week for prayers, however, because of the rapid expansion of the number of pilgrims visiting Kaabah it now opens only two times a year and that too only for dignitaries and special guests.

The Second Kaabah:
Right up the worldly Kaaba there is another Kaaba in the heavens and it is exactly the same as this one. Like humans do Tawaf around this Kaabah the angels do Tawaf around that Kaabah in the skies and the angel that once performs the Tawaf wont get a turn till the end of days because of the enormous number of Angels.

In short, the house of Allah is the most prestigious site that a Muslim can visit in his or her life and knowing more facts about it helps in relating to the place in a better way in addition to helping increase the faith of a Muslim.
